GT academy, the border between virtual and reality crosses

Tomorrow the national finale of the GT academy will find place at the Jimmy Woo in amsterdam. A joint venture between Nissan and Sony Computer entertainment that resulted in one of the most interesting online competitions of this time. The one who is able to set the fastest track time in the well known racing Gran Turismo on the PlayStation 3 makes a chance on winning a 4 month during training in Dubai. The contestants make a chance on winning a real racing liscence and with that becoming part of the Nissan racing team in Dubai. We should embrace the risk Sony and Nissan are willing to take to make this dream come true, I am very curious to see if our winner is indeed able to race a real race. Discovery is making a documentary about it so at the end of this year we will know if virtual racing truely could be the same as the real thing
